Class D License Part I – Unarmed Security Guard

The D License Class security training and course will provide the basic requirements to be able to
work legally as an unarmed security guard, as is stated in Florida State Statutes Section
493.
• 24 Hours of Security Class Instruction
• Two or Three Days of Security Guard Classes

After the Florida security license course has been completed, the applicant will be issued a temporary D License from the state of Florida to commence security guard work in Miami or in any city of south Florida…..Within sixty to ninety days of completing this security school class, the state of Florida will issue the permanent D License within 60 to 90 days of completing the D license security guard class Miami.
